We are proud to see our alumni travel on the road to college and beyond, bringing our mission statement to life.
When a student enters Milwaukee College Prep, the student, parents, and teachers make a promise to successfully “climb the mountain to and through college.” One step we have taken to this end is the creation of an Alumni Director position. The major objective for this position is to continue to support students who complete the eighth grade here on their journey to college. Our goal is to create a program to ensure that all alumni are able to overcome any obstacle they face and pursue successful futures. To fulfill the penultimate core of our mission as a college prep school, we cannot let our students fall into the local statistical abyss in which less than 33% of their peers graduate from high school and fewer than 25% ‘have plans’ to go to college. Our goal, once this position is fully implemented is to have at least 93% of our graduates complete high school within five years of graduating from Milwaukee College Prep and to have at least 70% of our graduates attend college.
