Due to the unbelievable response to our open enrollment period in March, when we were only able to enroll 4% of all applicants to our 36th Street Campus, we have been working feverishly to expand capacity to serve more of the students on our waiting list and throughout the city who are searching for a great school. We are very excited to announce that Milwaukee College Prep will be expanding and adding additional seats in 4 year old Kindergarten through 4th grade starting this Fall. The new campus will be located at the former 38th Street School, a few blocks from our original 36th Street Campus. We will add a grade a year to eventually serve K-8th grade.
We are equally excited to announce that Ms. Maggy Olson, former 81st St. School Principal, whose students made double digit gains on the WKCE scores during her tenure, has been hired to be the Campus Director of the 38th St. School Campus. Under her leadership, with support from our leadership team at the 36th Street Campus, we are confident that each of our campuses will pave the road to college and beyond for our young scholars.
